Amy has extensive experience in issues management and implementation, communications, national, state and local campaigning and government processes, gained from more than a decade of advising senior politicians, not-for-profits, international NGOs and unions.
As Chief Advocacy Officer at International Justice Mission Australia, the world’s largest anti-slavery organisation, Amy led the campaign and parliamentary negotiation, with both major and minor parties, to pass the NSW Modern Slavery Act and establish the NSW and Federal Anti-Slavery Commissioners.
Amy has worked in campaign headquarters for multiple local, state and federal Labor campaigns, building and maintaining strong relationships with senior Labor Ministers, advisors and progressive leaders nationwide.
Amy’s extensive experience means she can offer detailed insights and advice on a range of complex public policy issues, media engagement, internal processes of government, crossbench negotiations, and motivations of decision makers.
This helps clients understand their operating environment, tailor their messaging to highlight its direct relevance to decision makers and build broad based coalitions to gain widespread support for their work.
Amy is also a Non-Executive Director of Anglican Deaconess Ministries and Head of the Governance Committee at the Bridge Church, Sydney.
