Jeremy has extensive experience in strategic communications, policy development, stakeholder engagement and community consultation across a range of government and private sector projects.

Before SEC Newgate, Jeremy worked as a Senior Policy Adviser to the NSW Premier and was responsible for the key portfolio areas of planning and property. Jeremy’s time in government had him involved in implementing major policy reforms in the planning system aimed at increasing productivity, cutting red tape and reducing assessment timeframes. These reforms were implemented during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic when there was a strong focus on creating jobs and stimulating economic activity.

Jeremy has a strong understanding of the planning system and understands the challenges of navigating complex projects with a wide range of difficult stakeholder issues.

He has a deep understanding of the policy process having been actively involved in the development of policy with ministerial offices and agencies as well as undertaking consultation and building support with external stakeholders.

As a consultant, Jeremy has provided strategic counsel to a wide range of clients across many sectors including transport, infrastructure, health, planning, resources and energy. He thrives on complex projects with sensitive issues.

Before consulting, Jeremy had nine years’ experience in campaigning and strategic communications for a major political party.
