Sarah is an experienced public policy professional with over 15 years of experience advising on complex issues, with a primary focus on energy, climate change, resources, and water issues.
She has strong experience providing strategic advice on issues with community and political sensitivities from her time as a Senior Policy Adviser to the NSW Premier. She has an ability to get across complex issues and communicate key issues, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders at the highest levels.
She also has deep technical experience from working at regulatory bodies like the Australian Energy Market Commission and the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal.
She is adept at navigating government and stakeholder relations and progressing complex and contentious issues. In particular, she has played a key role in the development of NSW’s energy and climate change policy response in recent years as the State transitions towards net zero.
Key projects Sarah has worked on during her time in the NSW Government include the development of funding priorities for NSW’s $1.4 billion Climate Change Fund, the $2 billion Energy Memorandum of Understanding between the NSW and Australian Governments, securing over $80 million in funding for a new gas hydrogen power plant, as well as the development of key resources and water strategies.
