Employer of Choice 2022

We are delighted to be recognised as an Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards for 2022.  Whilst industry awards are important to us, this is one of which we are particularly proud as it not only recognises the organisational commitment to our staff, but more importantly, the contribution that our people make every day to our culture and success.

In their seventeenth year, the awards are an annual all-encompassing awards program that recognises organisations that demonstrate the core values of business innovation, product innovation, technological achievement and employee engagement via a set of established business and product award categories.

Our Partner, People & Culture, Jennie Murray says the EOC award provides recognition the organisational focus on our people and Employee Value Proposition but more importantly, the contribution of our team to sustain a collaborative and motivating culture

“Our organisation has experienced consistent and rapid growth since our inception and we have been determined to protect and enhance our culture through inevitable growing pains. Continuous improvement of our employee experience is an area of ongoing focus, and we are deeply proud of our team and their contribution to maintaining a stimulating and thriving workplace.

The pandemic has presented many business challenges and acted as a catalyst for us to embrace change and a new way of work, whilst protecting what makes us unique.  As an organisation, we do our best to provide the framework for growth and a positive work environment, but our staff are the ones make their own experience. They are absolutely our ‘secret sauce’.  This award is a credit to them all.“

Participation in the ABA awards is open to all private and public companies, multinationals and subsidiaries, non-government organisations, educational institutions, government departments, government agencies, government authorities and statutory bodies operating in Australia. Participants must demonstrate their achievements across the key areas of Organisational Culture & Leadership; Education, Training & Development; Health, Safety & Satisfaction; Performance, Recognition & Remuneration, and uses a structured model of assessment to benchmark against world-class performance standards.

There has never been a more pertinent time for organisations to transform workplace collaboration, creating new opportunities to innovate and extend their competitive advantage by harnessing the power of people,” said Ms Tara Johnston, EOC Program Director.

The convergence of work and learning underpins the continual growth of an organisation’s capabilities, developing new skills and expertise, improving performance, and building knowledge.

Fifty-three organisations have been selected for this year’s ABA Employer of Choice Awards. Many of these organisations have demonstrated leadership in talent management by reimagining new ways of collaborating and learning that can support and motivate employees at every level of the organisation,” Ms Johnston added.
