Dorothy has over 25 years’ experience undertaking social and market research in Australia, providing state and federal government clients with research insights and advice.
While a dualist researcher, she specialises in qualitative research, employing a range of research methods, models and techniques to uncover the ‘why’ of the matter to help her clients activate strategy on policy, product and communication development. She is also an experienced workshop facilitator, presenter, trainer, sessional educator and volunteer counsellor.
Dorothy has significant experience in the areas of social trends, policy and program development, employee and stakeholder research, community sentiment, communication development and customer experience research. Her sector expertise is broad but with a focus on health, transport, infrastructure, and ageing.
She holds a Master of Applied Social Science and a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from the University of Technology Sydney, is currently completing a part-time PhD in the area of population ageing at The University of Sydney and is a member of The Research Society.
