With over 12 years’ experience, Katherine is a trusted strategic communications adviser to business and community leaders.
She is highly sought after to act as a silent partner for a range of high-profile announcements, crises and issues. This includes managing class actions, Coroner inquests, large scale redundancies, changes to organisational leadership, cyber security attacks, data leaks, workplace misconduct and fatalities.
With well-established contacts in newsrooms across Australia, Katherine has deep expertise leading effective media and corporate positioning campaigns that delivers results, including securing significant funding and policy changes.
Prior to joining SEC Newgate, Katherine led Ambulance Victoria’s communications response to both COVID-19 and the 2019-20 bushfires. She also managed the communications team at Australia’s largest health service, Metro North Health.
Katherine relocated to Melbourne in 2018 to join NAB during the Banking Royal Commission and advised senior executives for the public hearings into Responsible Lending. Katherine has been an Adviser to a Premier and was involved in major policy reforms and events including the G20 Leaders’ Summit.
She currently serves as a Director on the Board of mental health charity, White Cloud Foundation and co-launched Victoria’s first Leukaemia Foundation branch.
Katherine graduated from Bond University with a Bachelor of Psychology.
