Rex Henderson is a strategic communications and government relations professional, with experience working as a political advisor and campaigner.

Before joining SEC Newgate, Rex worked for a Minister in the Northern Territory and was involved in complex and high-profile policy portfolios including policing and alcohol. Having navigated the complex relationships between Government, Trade Unions, multicultural, and First Nations communities, Rex has a close understanding of stakeholder management and its interplay with how governments and the public service drive policy.

Rex has a strong research background, having completed the ANU’s flagship PhB programme, with a focus on the ethical development of Artificial Intelligence. Working in a rapidly developing and interdisciplinary field of research, Rex is capable of quickly adapting to produce high quality and informative analysis.
