​​Sandy is a skilled campaigner and public affairs consultant with more than 16 years of experience, having served in a range of communications and leadership roles across Defence, politics and the non-profit sector. He has advised political leaders, military leaders and worked as a consultant to State and Federal election campaigns and candidates. 
 
Prior to joining SEC Newgate, Sandy served as the CEO of the Australian Republic Movement, a principal adviser to State parliamentarians, as an Officer in the Australian Defence Force and delivered cutting-edge digital election strategies for the Coalition as the head of the Australian branch of the international digital agency IMGE. He has worked closely with Federal and State parliamentarians across the political spectrum to advance policy reform. 
 
He specialises in public affairs, media engagement and modern data-driven digital communications. 
 
Sandy has a Bachelor of International Studies (Hons), Graduate Diploma and Master’s Degree in Communications (Public Relations) and a Master of Business Analytics.​
