Emily is a strategic communications and corporate affairs adviser with a decade of experience across government, technology, tertiary education, not-for-profit and agency sectors. She partners with organisations to navigate complexity, aligning internal and external positioning, managing reputational risk and translating policy into clear, human-centred communications that build trust and drive impact.
Emily’s expertise spans corporate and internal communications, C-suite counsel, behaviour-change campaigns, media strategy and crisis management. She has guided organisations through restructures, digital transformations and cultural reform, ensuring leaders and employees remain informed, aligned and engaged at every stage.
At SEC Newgate Emily has worked across transport, security, health, manufacturing, finance and energy sectors, supporting clients such as Bunnings, Vanguard, Keppel Infrastructure Trust, Ventura, Mondelēz and Oxford University Press.
Prior to joining the firm, she served as trusted adviser to the Chair and former Prime Minister Julia Gillard at Beyond Blue. At the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet, she worked in Treaty and was a core member of the state’s COVID-19 communications response unit, managing high-stakes public information with precision and care.
