Jeremy is a trusted adviser to clients navigating complex policy, regulatory and stakeholder environments. He brings deep expertise in strategic communications, policy development and engagement to help organisations manage risk, build support and make confident, well‑informed decisions.
Before joining SEC Newgate, Jeremy served as a Senior Policy Adviser to a NSW Premier, with responsibility for planning and property. In this role, he was closely involved in delivering major planning system reforms designed to increase productivity, reduce regulatory burden and accelerate assessment timeframes. These reforms were implemented during the COVID‑19 pandemic, when clear advice, coordination across government and effective stakeholder management were critical to supporting job creation and economic recovery.
Jeremy’s experience inside government gives clients practical insight into how policy is developed, tested and implemented, and how decisions are made at ministerial and agency level. He understands the challenges of progressing complex projects in contested environments and helps clients anticipate issues, engage constructively with stakeholders and achieve durable outcomes.
As a consultant, Jeremy has advised clients across transport, infrastructure, health, planning, resources and energy, providing strategic counsel on sensitive, high‑profile and time‑critical matters. He is valued for his ability to cut through complexity, align communications with policy objectives and deliver strategies that support long‑term project success.
